Thank you to all the families who contributed to our holiday food drive for the Middleton Outreach Ministry!! As you can see, it was a great success, and we collected many items for the MOM pantry. We almost ran out of room in our lobby!

Its Toys For Tots Time! Please help us collect new toys for families in need. We hope to have the box filled soon. The Marines will be collecting the toys on December 10th in order to have time to distribute them to families before Christmas.

A big, giant thank you to all our families for helping us support the Middleton Outreach Ministry by donating food and clothing items! Our Halloween party was a great success because of your generosity! The barrels were over flowing with donations.

And a big, giant CONGRATULATIONS to all our swimmers who participated in the Swim West Olympics! We had a wonderful turn out and we're all so proud of how much you've accomplished in lessons.

Next year we'll planning an even bigger and better Halloween party for our families, after having so much fun this year!

Swim West Olympics & Pool Party!

Chicago may have lost out, but we haven't! We are so excited to be getting ready for our Swim West Olympics! On November 1st, all Swim West students are invited to show us their best, demonstrating what they've learned in class, during our own Olympic Swim Meet, where every swimmer in a winner! Ally is ready and signed up. Are you?

We'll also have a family fun, Halloween themed, pool party after the swim meet. Some of the fun includes, pumpkin painting, a scavenger hunt, a crazy maze and a not too spooky, haunted forest! A picnic lunch will be available for only $2.00 a person.

We're also hoping you'll join us in supporting the Middleton Outreach Ministry. Bring two non perishable food items per person, and admission to our Halloween Pool Party is on us!

So don't put away that Halloween costume after the 31st. Wear it to Swim West on November 1st, noon to 5:00pm, and join us for a memorable afternoon of family fun!

Thank you to our wonderful families for taking the time to share feedback with our staff! We've received some heartfelt reviews on our efforts to bring you the best swimming experience, and we really appreciate knowing how we're doing! Joel - "Awesome! Joel is great with our daughter! She's very shy with male teachers but LOVES Joel! He's patient, very good at teaching and gets her to do things she normally is hesitant to do! Thank you!"

SwimWest Swim School had the pleasure of participating in this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade around the capital square! This was our first time in the event and the weather was fabulous. They had a huge turnout and we are very excited to be in the parade again next year! (*Special thanks to our friend Todd for taking the pictures)

Top Notch Teacher Banquet

Caitlin, Aquatic Director at SwimWest Fitchburg, attended the Channel 3 Top Notch Teacher Awards banquet earlier this year. She won this prestigious honor in July 2008, and was very excited to finally receive her award from Channel 3's Rob Starbuck and Charlotte Deleste. Congratulations, Caitlin!

With your help, we raised over 10 barrels of non-perishable food items for their food pantry. We hope you will join us again next year for this exciting event!

FREE FAMILY SWIM OVER HOLIDAY BREAK!!!

SwimWest Swim School in Madison is holding our annual Family Swim Food Drive to benefit the Middleton Outreach Ministry. Join us over the holiday break and help us fill their food pantry!
For a minimum donation of one non-perishable food item per person, your family can swim for FREE!! The normal cost for Family Swim is $15/family... what a great savings, and a fun way to help those less fortunate this holiday season.

The Middleton Outreach Ministry (MOM) is always in need of food. They appreciate all foods, although cannot use home prepared foods. MOM also is need of gently used clothing (especially in-season clothing, children's clothing and larger sizes), and shoes.

Other items they appreciate for donation include:
Dishes and glasses in sets
Pots and pans
Baking equipment
All items that help serve and prepare food (non-electrical, please)
Children's books and cook books for our waiting room.
Linens (bath/hand towels; wash rags; twin/double/queen size sheets, cases, blankets, quilts and mattress pads; shower curtains and liners; bath mats and rugs; and baby linens and blankets)

The event will take place at the Madison location at 1001 Deming Way. If you have any questions please call us at 831-6829

Halloween at the Zoo

SwimWest won Best Treat Stop at the annual Halloween at the Zoo on Sunday October 26th! We had a great time seeing all of the families and handing out candy to all the trick-or-treaters. We hope that you'll join us again next year for this fun event. We hope to have an even bigger and better treat stop next year!

First Week of Lessons a Success!

Well, we are officially into the fall session and our first week of lessons went GREAT!! Thank you to all of our faithful returning families and to all of our new families. We had almost 200 NEW families join us for the fall session and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who joined us, and all of you who referred those new families to SwimWest. We couldn't grow without you and really appreciate your continued support.

SwimWest will be having some fun events coming up soon at both the Madison and Fitchburg locations! Birthday Pool Parties

As the summer draws to a close, our local beaches, city pools, water parks, and even backyard pools will all be closed until next year. Don't fret... you can still enjoy a great, warm water indoor swimming pool during those cold winter months at SwimWest! We offer birthday party packages on the weekends, and even better... we do all the set up and clean up. We will include plates, napkins, utensils, drinks and a certified Lifeguard. Annual Teacher Training Week at SwimWest Fitchburg!
We have some new staff joining us for the school year and we would like to supplement their training with some extra classes before the session begins. We are looking for children to come join us for some FREE swimming lessons after school on September 2, 3, and 4th. We encourage swimmers of all ages and abilities to join us for this great event! Please call the front desk at 276-SWIM for more information or to register for a class time. If you have never been to SwimWest before, this is a great time to come try us out!
